La cathédrale de Naples est dédiée à San Gennaro et construite sur les vestiges d'églises antérieures et possède une chapelle de style baroque, où le patron de la ville San Gennaro est enterré, après avoir été martyrisé à Pozzuoli en 305 après JC. ch. Sur le mont Vomero se trouvent le château Sant'Elmo et l'ancien monastère chartreux San Martino, aujourd'hui un musée. Sur le versant se trouve la Villa Elena e Maria, qui offre également une vue sur la baie de Naples et le Vésuve.
